Milsco Manufacturing Co. Launches Significant New Seating Platforms for Mahindra North America

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, October 17, 2017 – Milsco Manufacturing Co., a division of Jason Industries Inc. (NASDAQ:JASN and JASNW) has launched significant new seating platforms for Mahindra North America (MNA), the world leader in tractor sales.

Milsco will manufacture seats for Mahindra’s compact, mid-sized and full-sized utility tractor platforms for 10 models spanning both open and cab designs. Milsco’s contract includes significant volume over three years.

Said Mike Hynes, Vice President & General Manager Turf Care and Heavy Industry at Milsco, “We are proud to partner with Mahindra NA.  Our industrial designers and engineers incorporated the distinct Mahindra branding into the aesthetic features of each these seats.  We are one of the few seating manufacturers able to create seating that fully reflects the distinct Mahindra brand.”

The successful partnership with Mahindra resulted from Milsco’s ability to rapidly prototype tangible samples that allow Mahindra and Milsco to quickly personify what the OEM needs in order to meet dealer demand. Milsco began manufacturing the seats from its Redgranite facility in September.

“We value the contributions of dedicated partners such as Milsco; they are instrumental to Mahindra’s success in North America. When faced with the challenge of producing a seating platform that would provide industry-leading comfort, function and design, Milsco stepped up and delivered a home run,” said Mani Iyer, President & CEO, Mahindra NA. “We debuted our new seats at Mahindra’s National Dealer Meeting earlier this month to great reviews from our dealers. We look forward to putting our customers in this all-new driver’s seat.”

Mahindra North America (MNA) is part of Mahindra Group’s Automotive and Farm Sector, producing the number one selling tractor brand in the world, based on volumes and the only tractor manufacturer in the world to win the industry’s top two quality awards, the Deming Application Prize and the Japan Quality Medal, care of Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 2, 2017 – Milsco Manufacturing Co., a division of Jason Industries Inc. (NASDAQ:JASN and JASNW) experienced a homecoming of sorts with its recent move from Brown Deer back to the heart of Milwaukee in the revitalized Menomonee River Valley neighborhood on Canal Street. The company’s new headquarters facility is at 1301 West Canal Street.

The new location will be Milsco’s corporate headquarters and development center and includes office space, development labs and an early prototyping area. The facility provides ample space for the company’s 55 employees at this location.

“We had been at our Brown Deer location for 45 years,” said Tim Sievert, VP & GM at Milsco Manufacturing. “We’re looking forward to being closer to key business partners and the opportunities that will arise by becoming a part of this rejuvenated, up-and-coming neighborhood.”

Founded in 1924, Milsco started out as Milwaukee Saddlery Company manufacturing and selling accessories for farm horses. Ten years later, the company developed the “Buddy Seat” for Harley-Davidson, which sparked the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

In 1948, after selling the original saddlery business to Sears, Roebuck & Company, the company was renamed to Milsco Manufacturing Company and shifted its focus toward products to serve the modern automotive era. As Milsco continued to grow, the seating solutions company also produced fashion belts and abacuses.
